My Mind Care Yoga Routine

My Mind Care Yoga Routine

I wanted to share a personal journey with you—a journey towards learning to give love and care to myself to feel better. I battled clinical depression for more than two years, and yoga has been a key part of my journey towards managing my emotions and thoughts. But this one mind care routine has been a lifeline, helping me take a step back, organise my thoughts, and find that balance from within.

So, join me in exploring my 9 AM Mind Care Yoga Routine that combines gentle practices to start your day with warmth, care, and lots of hugs!

Sit with Yourself
Before I discovered yoga, I struggled with overwhelming thoughts and anxiety. Just sitting with myself, tuning into my breath and thoughts, became a powerful way to find calmness amidst chaos. It's amazing what a few moments of stillness can do.

Practice Deep Breathing
Yoga introduced me to the power of deep breathing. Those long, slow breaths while repeating affirmations not only relax the body but also soothe the mind. They've become my go-to tool for managing stress and finding peace. Learn some of the most effective deep breathing exercises here!

EFT Tapping (Emotional Freedom Techniques)
When emotions overwhelmed me, EFT tapping helped me find relief. It's incredible how gently tapping on specific points can release tension and bring clarity. It's like giving yourself an emotional R&R (release and reset) button. Explore steps to EFT tapping here

Kér Body Candle Ritual
One of the most comforting rituals I've incorporated during my mind care yoga practice is my Body Candle Ritual. This isn't just any candle—it's a blend of natural oils and butters that nourish my skin and calm my mind. Massaging warm oil into my skin feels like a self-care hug from within. Give it a try

Warm Hug to Yourself
And speaking of hugs, ending with a warm hug to myself has become a ritual in itself. Embracing myself with love, care, and acceptance has been a game-changer in my self-care journey.

Yoga hasn’t only been about the asanas or stretches for me; it's about these mind care practices that help reconnect us with ourselves. Whether you're on the mat or simply taking a moment to sit and breathe, remember that a little bit of love and care given to yourself goes a long way!

So, here's to finding your own path to mindful well-being this Yoga Day. Take that time for yourself, embrace the practices that resonate with you, and let's celebrate the journey together.

Namaste 🙏
